Drawing from her 20 years as a former City Councilor\, she will discuss the burden of local property taxes and how decisions in Concord affect us at the local level. The Executive Council exercises oversight of state government\, including voting on all state spending over $10\,000\, giving Karen a valuable perspective. As she says\, “When the state cuts the budget\, property taxes go up.
