Ways to Support Pollinators

May 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Hosted by Plainfield Conservation Commission & Plainfield Libraries

Pollinators play an important role in every ecosystem that has flowering plants, which is most of them. They also play an important role in agriculture. There has been an increased focus on supporting pollinators, especially native bees, by conservation and gardening organizations in the past twenty years. Because of this focus, networks and movements to promote pollinators have grown nationwide. However, there is still much to learn. Especially ways in which individual homeowners and gardeners can do their part on a small scale to support the bigger picture. In this program, you will learn about resources and organizations that help community members become part of this growing network and go home with some simple ways you can start promoting pollinators in your own yard or community.
