Cornish Hiking Club

This Saturday we’ll head up the Gile Mountain Trail in Norwich, VT. I was there a few days ago and the views are simply stunning! It’s a short 1.6-mile roundtrip hike with quite a few steps and a 413 ft elevation (1.4 miles and 393 feet if you choose not to climb the fire tower at the top). It IS busy, so I highly recommend carpooling. Carpoolers can either meet at the Cornish-Windsor Bridge in Cornish or at the Huntley Meadow parking lot (111 Turnpike Rd.) in Norwich. I generally try to avoid busy trails, but with so much less color than we are used to this time of year, Gile Mountain will help you get your fall foliage fill. Dogs welcome on a leash (and our new puppy, Lainey, will be joining us as well)!
