Cornish Hiking Club

February 17 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This Saturday, February 17th, following the theme of Cornish (still channeling the Cornish Elementary Wellness Fair last week), let’s once again stomp around in the Cornish Town Forest – one of the Top 3 trails in Cornish according to All Trails! – there are lots of trails and lots of loops, so we shan’t be bored! And since it’s probably a reasonable assumption that those back roads will be challenging to navigate at this time of year, let’s plan on meeting at the Cornish-Windsor Bridge parking lot at 10:00 and carpooling the 5 minutes to the parking off Paddy Hollow Road (the far side of Root Hill Road) as per the directions on All Trails:

https://www.alltrails.com/…/new…/cornish-town-forest

Of course, if you’ve got other demands on your time and just want to meet us there – we found back in October that there is plenty of parking for 8+ cars if you go far enough in on the road to reach the trailhead, although probably only in a 4-wheel drive vehicle with plenty of ground clearance.

If you have any questions or need to reach me before the hike, my contact info is Karen Gillock at (603) 667-8093 (best) or email at karen@psychologist-nh.com. Please join us – it isn’t supposed to be too cold, and according to the National Park Service (I did my homework for the Wellness Fair!) hiking is beneficial in terms of physical exercise, mental health, and relational health – so let’s get outside and get moving and appreciate the natural world around us – and with good company, even better!

And don’t forget to check out the group’s Facebook page for photos and other opportunities:
