Maxfield Parrish Stage Set and Plainfield Town Hall Open House

1079 Route 12A, Plainfield, NH

Join us for our monthly open house the Second Sunday of each month through October. Our volunteers will be there to tell you about the work we are doing on our town hall which dates back to 1798. Work is underway on bringing the chimney into code including a new lining. Work will soon begin on repairing and repointing the stone foundation. Inside we are excited to have a new fire resistant stage curtain, new teaser curtain, and we have made adjustments to the Maxfield Parrish Stage Set to match a picture we have from 1917! This work is being done thanks to generous donations from our donors and supporters as well as from New Hampshire Moose Plate Grants from the NH Council on the Arts and New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP). Bring your visitors, send your friends, or just stop by to see the progress. The Maxfield Parrish Stage Set is a rare, hidden, artistic treasure in a historic town hall.
