Plainfield Historical Society Clubhouse
1063 NH-12A, Plainfield, NH

Nadine Miller, Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer at the NH Division of Historical Resources, will give a presentation on the founding, organization, and legacy of the Mothers’ and Daughters’ Club through a picture-filled presentation.

As a new resident of Plainfield, Ms. Miller was excited to learn the history of the club and its historic building. She has been researching New Hampshire’s woman’s clubs to understand their contribution to the broad ideals of the Progressive Movement in America. She looks forward to sharing what she has learned, including information about the club’s founding Cornish Colony women, and hopes that you can share your stories with her.
