Zentangle Class

The Cornish Community Initiative is again collaborating with Certified Zentangle Teacher Elizabeth Sofish on a new series of Zentangle classes at the former Cornish Store. Here are the details for the March classes, and pre-registration is requested. We hope you can join us!

Zentangle 101

New to Zentangle? Heard about it, maybe tried it, but want the “official training?” Join Certified Zentangle Teacher Elizabeth Sofish for the classic “Zentangle First Tile” – the usual first class for people exploring Zentangle for the first time. Take your place in the tradition of peaceful structured drawing where no mistakes are possible. In this class, you will create one drawing using the 8 (easy) steps of The Zentangle Method®. You will learn basic tangling and tangling techniques and will have enough supplies to create 4 more drawings on your own after class. Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve already experienced this class or another Zentangle class.

Supply List: You don’t need to bring any supplies to this class.

A note from your teacher: I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), officially authorized to teach The Zentangle Method®. I have been tangling for about 15 years, and have studied with Zentangle Headquarters as well as other talented CZTs and tanglers. I tangle nearly every day, participate in a weekly ZoomTangle group of friends, and take many classes. I love sharing The Zentangle Method® and the special tips and techniques that I use to get the results I want. My goals are to teach tangles and tangling techniques, encourage individual creativity and experimentation, provide opportunities for ZenFlow (a meditative state of mind while tangling), and for everybody to have fun.
